OBS: Observation & Classroom Management 8 weeks
Participants will be asked to reflect on the art and science of observation, a critical part of any Montessori learning environment.
Summary
The course will highlight actual Montessori Learning Environments in action as well as illustrate the dynamics of educator and student interaction. Participants will observe children in actual learning environments at the early childhood and elementary levels and will be asked to give summaries of their observations. The course will be interspersed with readings from Dr. Montessori’s writings on Will, Imagination, Discipline, Normalization, and other important topics relating to understanding the children in our care.
Course Length: 8 Weeks
Age Focus: 3-15 Years
